There are usually two sides of the spectrum…some that want unlimited bandwidth hosting others that wonder if you really can have “unlimited bandwidth hosting.” First off, if you are looking for it, you are smart! If you are considering if it is real, well…good!
Why may it not be real?
-Well, some people bring up the case of overselling. Most webhosts that have unlimited offers do oversell, fortunately they limit how many websites are on one server, and they have the optimization reports to see when the server is about to fill up or slow down.
-Also, some people don’t like unlimited plans because of resource usage. Well, it is true that CPU is not taken into account with the unlimited plans, however with most legal sites, you will have absolutely no problem!
Some good ideas and websites that you can use an unlimited plan for are: movie type of websites, video type of websites, game type of websites, and much more!
You should always pick a web host that has some sort of live assistance, such as a live chat, a live telephone number you can call 24/7. Support tickets are helpful, however they will not get you immediate help if your website goes down or gets hacked! Be sure to trial the support before you sign up and ask some pre-sale questions. Just because the web host has different kinds of support doesn’t mean that they are actually using them.
Personally, I am on an unlimited bandwidth hosting plan, and I strongly recommend it! Pay a flat price (no upsell’s if you go over the bandwidth amount.)
